SECTION I: BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE
Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative (BBYDI) is soliciting competitive quotations from authorized
hardware suppliers, system integrators, and technology resellers to procure, configure, and deploy three
(3) high-performance laptops for core project personnel (Programme, Finance, and Monitoring &
Evaluation staff).
SECTION II: TECHNICAL & CONFIGURATION SPECIFICATIONS
A. Hardware Requirements (Quantity: 3 Units)
– Processor: Minimum Apple M4 Chip or newer (Preferred: Apple M5 Chip)
-Memory (RAM): 16GB Unified Memory
-Storage: 512GB Solid State Drive (SSD)
-Form Factor / Screen: 13-inch or 14-inch Laptop (Preferred: 13-inch MacBook Air 2026)
-Condition: 100% Brand-New, -Factory-Sealed
-Warranty: Standard 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty
B. System Configuration and Deployment
The selected vendor will be required to complete the following configuration before handover:
• Initial OS activation and installation of core productivity tools.
• Activation of full-disk encryption through FileVault or an equivalent OS security feature.
• Configuration of endpoint security, anti-malware, and appropriate remote management
settings.
• Setup of secure user access controls, administrative privilege separation, and strong password
policies.
• Ensure all devices are fully configured and ready for use upon handover.
3. BID REQUIREMENTS
Interested vendors should submit:
• Brief company/vendor profile.
• Evidence of relevant experience in hardware supply and deployment.
• Details of the proposed laptop model and specifications.
• Proof of authorised reseller status or sourcing provenance.
• Company registration (CAC) and Tax Identification details.
• Two professional references for previous hardware supply contracts.
• Detailed financial quotation.
4. FINANCIAL PROPOSAL
Financial proposals must:
• Be submitted in Nigerian Naira (NGN).
• Clearly state the unit cost and total cost for the three laptops.
• Include the cost of the hardware and applicable local taxes, including VAT.
• Shipping, delivery, and separate labour fees should not be included in the quoted price.
The quotation should also indicate the applicable manufacturer warranty and validity period of the
offer.
