Call for Bids: Technology Consultancy — Nigeria 2027

Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative (BBYDI), in partnership with FactCheck Africa, is seeking qualified technology consultants, firms, or technical teams to scale our digital infrastructure ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 General Elections.

This engagement is part of the Strengthening Digital Integrity and Inclusive Participation for Nigeria 2027 project, supported by the Digital Democracy Initiative (DDI) and CIVICUS. We are commissioning four distinct technology lots — applicants may bid for one, multiple, or all four:

 Lot 1: MyAIFactChecker Platform Scaling
 Lot 2: Multilingual NLP Model Fine-Tuning (Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Pidgin)
 Lot 3: Chrome Extension Development
 Lot 4: EVIT Upgrade & Public Accountability Dashboard

Applicants should possess:

  • At least five years’ demonstrated experience in software development, AI/ML, data science, web applications, or browser-extension development.
  • A proven portfolio of digital products delivered to production, with strong programming and modern-framework skills.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy (NDPA 2023), and user-centred design.

This is a three-month remote assignment running from 27 July to 27 October 2026, with possible extension through Nigeria’s November 2026 – February 2027 peak election window.

 Location: 100% Remote (Nigeria-based applicants preferred)
